Thank you for your patience with the unavoidable delay in the processing of renewals/new membership cards.

All those who renewed by 31 March should receive their new cards shortly as they are now in the delivery system.

April payments will take a little longer to be processed.

Rest assured that the 2016/17 year card is still accepted at the library, along with the new cream 2017/18 card.

PS when your card arrives, please check that the expiry date shows March 2018 – a rogue page with March 2017 got printed!
A replacement can be arranged by emailing Membership “at” KapitiGen.org with your details.

Although our financial year doesn’t end until 31st March we traditionally begin accepting renewals from the beginning of February.
Your early renewal would be appreciated as it spreads the load on our Membership Secretary / Treasurer.

If you renew or join prior to the AGM 22nd April, subs remain at the bargain price of $20 per individual for the year (1 Apr 2014 through 31st March 2015).

However  the rental increases we absorbed last year and some forthcoming Library changes in particular, do mean that for the first time since 2007,  the recommendation at the AGM is that the Subs be increased to $25 per person.

Rest assured the current pink membership cards will remain valid for accessing our resources at the Alison Procter Family History Centre (APFHC) for some time yet, with the new cream ones also being accepted.

Payment may be made by cash or cheque (made out to Kapiti Genealogy) handed to a committee member at any meeting, or posted to P O Box 703, Paraparaumu, 5254

You may also use internet banking.

For the latter, log in (instructions here) to see the bank account details below this line.

If paying by internet banking, please remember to include your surname and membership number for identification purposes, preferably also emailing the Treasurer “at” KapitiGen.org to advise that payment has been made.

If also a member of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists, please enter your NZSG number in one of the payee/reference fields.

Please allow up to a fortnight for delivery of your new card, we don’t want to wear out Derek’s shoe leather as he traverses the district delivering out mail.

We look forward to your continuing membership and participation in our activities.

Newsletter

Our May newsletter has been added to the Communications > Newsletter > 2013 page of our website.

It has been sent to all of our members, and to those organisations and branches that we share newsletters with.

Remember that copies of other branch newsletters may be browsed at the APFHC.

All have snippets of interest in them and are well worth checking every so often.

Subscriptions

This May newsletter is the last that will be sent to those who have not yet paid their 2013/14 subscription which became due 1st April.

The current pink membership card, is now the only valid card for people wishing to use our resources.

Renewal instructions are in the April and May newsletters, and on this website.
