We are going virtual for our May meeting, same date, same time as scheduled (1:30 for 2-4pm this coming Saturday 16th May) but at your place.

Instructions for joining the meeting online have been sent out to those on our mailing list.

There may be space available for others interested in learning about RootsMagic and how it can help them get and keep organised with their family history, or in learning more about some of the tricks of the trade in using it effectively.

If interested, space permitting, please request an invite via the contact instructions on our RootsMagic page.

We are in the process of setting it up as an electronic meeting – registration required.

Level 1 Covid-19 update:

Help Sessions will resume at the APFHC (our Paraparaumu Library area) Wed 17th Jun 2020

As we can hardly maintain a 2m distance when helping someone at a keyboard, the Wed am help sessions will not be staffed by volunteers until further notice.

If you DO decide to go in and use our resources there is hand sanitizer at the entrance to the library, but it is probably wiser to stay away until the Covid-19 situation is better understood.

Covid-19 lockdown update Apr 2020:

For members only, online one on one help sessions are available electronically by booking a slot via our Contact us link above, Wed 1-3 pm scheduled, but can be at other times. Please advise what you wish help with so an appropriate person can be arranged.

Please note that “thanks” to Covid-19, your committee has decided it prudent to cancel our monthly evening meeting 24th March.

Update: The Waikanae Baptist Church has now advised that we will not be able to hold our March Day meeting, 25th March.
Our next meeting at that venue is on April 18th (DNA group), which they will review beforehand.

To the best of our current knowledge (Thurs 19th Mar), we are expecting to run our April RootsMagic group at the Kapiti Community Centre this Saturday 21st).

We expect attendees to be mindful of the recommended precautions against spreading/catching Covid-19.

Please, if at all unwell, or have been in contact with recent travellers
do not attend any meetings.
